Feast of Trumpets

This autumn  Holy Days symbolize the events related to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets begins the Holy Days.  Leviticus 23:  23-25 states, "The LORD said to Moses',  'Say to the Israelites: On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of sabbath rest, a sacred assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts.  Do no regular work, but present a food offering to the LORD.’” It is said that this day may be the day of the second coming when Jesus will return to earth. Revelation 3:11 states, "I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown."  The Shofar is blown to announce that in ten days (Judgment) will occur and it is your last chance to persuade God to write your name in the Book of Life. The ten days between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement are called Days of Awe or the Ten Days of Repentance.

Another reference verse is Numbers 29:1-6. “‘On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. It is a day for you to sound the trumpets. 2 As an aroma pleasing to the LORD, offer a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect. 3 With the bull offer a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah[a] of the finest flour mixed with olive oil; with the ram, two-tenths[b]; 4 and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.[c]5 Include one male goat as a sin offering[d] to make atonement for you. 6 These are in addition to the monthly and daily burnt offerings with their grain offerings and drink offerings as specified. They are food offerings presented to the LORD, a pleasing aroma.

FEAST OF TRUMPET

This autumn harvest festival symbolizes the events wherein the children of Israel wandered in the desert  dwelling in tents  for forty-years .  This holiday keeps in our remembrance  God forgives our sins and to be thankful  for all the increase of the year that He has given us.  The decor reminds you of Thanksgiving along with the fruit and vegetables.
